Every morning in my mirror
I see you
A child, a man,
A man, a child,
And between the child the man … The man the child
I see myself
A forest of Palm-trees

Coming back ... going forth
They are ... my girlfriends
the painting and the death
and in between is myself
Strangers
Walking a path that has no stops!

A Grass, a field, palm-trees, birds
me and you
And that enduring home’s pain in my heart
A desert
That has not known rain for ages

In the name of the painting
The women and the liquor
I swear
I do love you Oh Palm-tree!

Strangers came
Assassinated the beauty of our city
Assassinated our childhood
they stole from us our identity

As they become tired
Slept as strangers

Every morning from my mirror the sun rises
Fish come out and birds
Moons, rivers, flowers
and young ladies
Sweet like the dates’ honey

If my home was a tattoo
I would engrave it to my heart
And rest!
